Salamander Tail is a relic item in UnderMine. It adds a chance to ignite enemies when the peasant hits them with a swung or thrown pickaxe.
Ignited Enemies can ignite oil they walk on, which will damage the player.
The Salamander Tail also allows the player to light beacons with their thrown weapon, which is helpful in some puzzle-type rooms.
You can use your swing attack to ignite and cook food, which raises its healing benefits.
This relic is useful against Noori, as it lets the Peasant relight its torches.

Supposedly, this relic is Seer's tail, which was cut off by the Targon the Bold, as mentioned in the description of the curse 
Rain of Fire.
